“Looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus, who gave Himself for us to redeem us from every lawless deed, and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession, zealous for good deeds” (Titus 2:13–14 nasb).
Heavenly Father, We praise You for Your goodness and Your promise of good toward us who are called according to Your purpose. We humbly submit ourselves to Your will. Your will is to conform us to the image of Your Son. Your will is good, perfect, and acceptable to us.
Jesus, You said that You only do the will of the Father. That’s what we want, too. You inscribed us on the palms of Your hands (Isaiah 49:16). We offer our bodies as living and holy sacrifices to You. Inscribe Yourself on us. Write whatever, whenever, however and as much as you want in and through us. We belong to You. Thank You for betrothing us to You. Jesus, You are truth. We choose to believe what You have said.
Holy Spirit, guide us into all truth. Thank You for reminding us of what Jesus said. We want truth in our innermost being. Show us if there is anything deceitful in us. Thank You for the comfort of Your presence and for being the pledge of Christ’s return through Your indwelling presence. Your presence is our security.
We choose to practice Your presence. Help us to avoid undertaking more than we can do in the peace of Your presence. Your presence is the oil that lights our lamps until our Bridegroom returns. Quiet us in Your love as we wait. We choose to be faithful stewards of the gifts You have given us, investing in the lives of others through what we write.
Christ in us, the hope of glory (Colossians 1:27). Jesus, thank You for giving us the glory that the Father gave You so we might be one as You and the Father are one: You in us and the Father in You so we might be brought to complete unity (John 17:22).
We seek Your glory and not our own. Be glorified! Lord of glory, we adore You! O, come let us adore Him!
