Why did you change your name from Oregon Christian Writers?

More than 40% of our members live outside of Oregon. We want to help them feel more welcome, as well as match the branding we are using for the Cascade Christian Writers Conference and the Cascade Christian Writing Contest. The membership voted for this change in September of 2023.

I live outside of the Northwest. May I still be a member?

Yes, please do join us! We even have some international members. Please note that all in-person conferences (one each summer, one in the fall, and one in the spring) do take place in Oregon. We do have monthly Zoom events that all members are welcome to join virtually. Some people do travel to join us in person, especially for the summer conference.

How is Cascade Christian Writers set up? May I make a donation?

We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation under the name “The Oregon Association of Christian Writers,” and yes, if you donate, your donation is tax deductible. Currently, 70% of all donations go toward our tuition assistance fund for those who need help getting to an in-person conference. You can donate here or mail a check to us.

How do I join or renew my membership by mail?

Yes, to join or renew by mail, download and fill out the Membership Application. After reading and agreeing to the Statement of Faith, fill out the membership form and mail it, along with a check or money order payable to CCW for annual membership dues to:

May I gift a membership?

Yes. After you purchase or renew a membership for someone besides yourself, please send an email to with contact information, including an email address, for that person. Please determine that the person agrees with our statement of faith.
