June Prayer Time

We come to you, Holy Father, praising You for who You are. You are Almighty God, the Everlasting Father and the King of Kings. You are the Word made flesh, and You dwell within us, our Savior and our Lord. Lord, we have so much, but we are so needy. Therefore we come to You. Teach us to listen to Your word as we open our Bibles. John 1:1 whispers truth: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God” (niv). You, Jesus, who are the Word of Life, have given us Your Word when our own words fail. Therefore we bow before You. Give us courage to listen as we shape our thoughts into words that heal, comfort, and encourage others. We have Your promise in Isaiah 51:16: “I have put my words in your mouth, and covered you with the shadow of my hand” (niv). Lord, teach us to write from the overflow of a Christ-controlled life. And when we hear the words from Your mouth, may we sing of Your glory. “I will praise You, O Lord, among the peoples, and I will sing praises to You among the nations. For your mercy is great above the heavens, and Your truth reaches to the clouds” Psalm 108:3–4 (nkjv).

It was just announced as a Christian Book Distributor (CBD) “recommended” book for 2017 and will be part of the WaterBrook & Multnomah Summer Fiction Book Club online.

Lynn Hare, of Portland, published her new book, The Quest for Self-Forgiveness, a nonfiction work about releasing guilt, shame, and regret from the past and stepping forward into the explosive freedoms of self-directed grace found in the “Greatest Possibilitarian” who ever lived.
Jennifer Anne Messing of Portland, is excited that her award-winning poetry gift book Morning’s Promise: Poetic Moments in His Presence, which had a new e-book edition released on Amazon a few months ago, is now also available at Barnes and Noble (B&N) online as a NOOK Book. Kendy Pearson, of Dundee, recently accepted an assignment to write a column in Gospel Herald, Union Gospel Press’s family magazine. She has been writing Sunday school curriculum for Union Gospel Press for quite some time. Kendy is also a double semi-finalist in the American Christian Fiction Writers (ACFW) Genesis Contest in the historical fiction category.
