[dropcap]G[/dropcap]racious Lord, we begin a new year with minds focused on Your holiness and goodness. Make us conscious of Your presence. Help us acknowledge Your ownership of all we have and trust You to provide our needs. Quiet our restless hearts so that we may discover the peace of living in Your presence. Inspire all we speak and write for the sake of the gospel of Christ. Rather than quitting when it seems impossible, or stopping when it’s difficult, may Your Holy Spirit empower us to persevere and live by faith alone. Give us the grace and strength to endure and see any weakness on our part as an instrument through which You prove Your power. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
