Karen Barnett, of Albany, has Ever Faithful, the third book in her Vintage National Parks collection, releasing June 18. It is set in Yellowstone National Park.
Laura Bradford, of Walla Walla, Washington, and Charles Harrel, of Portland, have stories in the June 9th issue of LIVE. Laura’s piece is titled “By His Spirit,” and the title of Charles’ is “A Midnight Summons.”
Jon Drury, of Vancouver, Washington, wrote Audiobook Do-It-Yourself? which is published on Amazon and Kindle. Only five percent of books published each year make the accompanying audiobook. He has made two audiobooks and has one in process.
Cecilia Granger, of Lake Oswego, had an article in the May 1 issue of Global Sisters Report (a project of the National Catholic Reporter) titled “We Idealists Cry for the Moon.” Her article, “Will the Real Mary Magdalene Please Step Up,” will be in a July issue. She also finished two books recently: Everyday God and Spirituality on the Run. Now that she’s retired, she has time to write.
Geneva Iijima, of Oregon City, has six devotionals in the June–August issue of God’s Word for Today.
Julie Johnson, of Prineville, had a poem in the April 2019 issue of LIVE.
Char Kardokus, of Salem, recently sold a short story, “God the Provider,” to LIVE. It will appear in spring 2020.
Yvonne Kays, of Bend, has two stories in LIVE in June and July.
Kathleen Kohler, of Sultan, Washington, and Jon Drury, of Vancouver, Washington, have devotionals in the summer issue of The Secret Place.
Formula of Deception, by Carrie Stuart Parks, of Cataldo, Idaho, just finaled in the Mainstream Category of the Daphne du Maurier Award for Excellence in Mystery/Suspense.
Diane Schnickels, of Canby, had an article, “The Cross in the Crevice,” accepted for an e-newsletter and website. It will appear September 2019 in Joy of It, a Christian women’s ministry based in Portland.
